Jackson Lake's Lodge and our government's "shut down"
Teton National Park "shut down".
Kind of like the snow interfering with good weather hopes during this year’s Western Mountain Region AIA conference (the first week in October), the hopes for experiencing Teton National Park are also dashed per the ongoing government budget challenges.
I took this photo from the inside of Jackson Lake Lodge during my last visit. Through the mist is a panoramic vista across endless willows to the Mount Moran within the string of Teton peaks. It’s unfortunate this experience was not an opportunity at this conference.
Between seminars, it’s a special place to hang out and wait for the illusive “moose moment”, where a moose sneaks across distant open space from willow cluster to willow cluster.
